![]() It's safe Tangled lights are not just annoying. They can be unsafe. Light strands get damaged when they are kinked, twisted, pulled or stressed in some other way. And that can be dangerous. According to the National Fire Protection Association, Christmas trees are at the root of roughly 210 home structure fires per year, and nearly a fourth of those fires are attributed to holiday lights. On average, one in every nine reported Christmas tree fires results in a death. These are shocking and inciting statistics. The long strands of conventional Christmas tree lights frequently become tangled, particularly when stored and reused from year to year, and the strain of wrapping, unwrapping, storing and unknotting the lights can lead to damage — frayed or bare wires, gaps in insulation, broken or cracked sockets, etc. — and increased risk of fire. Furthermore, most fire authorities recommend that no more than three strands of lights be connected to decorate an entire tree, but often that isn't enough and so people frequently string four or more strands together and plug them into a single outlet. This can cause overload and create additional fire hazards.
Trim-it-Quick lighting systems are safer because they don't get tangled, they are easy to install and remove, and they are easy to store. Damage-inducing strain and stress is virtually eliminated, so the lights stay beautiful and safe year after year. The Trim-it-Quick lighting systems also offer a safer power supply option — a multiport extension cord that is specially designed to provide all the necessary power and eliminate the risk of an electricity overload. So add safety to the list of reasons "Conventional lights can't hold a candle" to the Trim-it-Quick lighting system. |
